Memecoins on Arc: how to find, buy and launch them with USDC

By the arky team · Last updated:

Memecoins on Arc are tokens launched on Circle's Arc chain, where USDC pays gas, so every price, fee and profit reads in dollars. arky, the trading terminal on Arc, lets you find new coins on Discover and Pulse, buy them on a USDC bonding curve and launch your own, with Scout, an AI agent, helping.

arky, the trading terminal on Circle's Arc chain, runs one of the memecoin launchpads on Arc, so read this page with that in mind. We name the other launchpads, link the sources, and date every claim: facts are as of 5 October 2026, about three weeks after Arc mainnet opened.

What is different about memecoins on Arc?

The difference is the unit: on Arc, USDC is the gas token, so a memecoin's price, its fees and your profit are all in dollars, with no second token in the trade. Arc's documentation says all transaction fees are denominated in USDC, the base fee targets about $0.001 per ERC-20 transfer, and transactions are final in under a second (Arc docs: gas and fees).

Dollar pricing removes a hidden bet. If SOL falls 10% overnight, every coin priced in SOL falls with it before anyone sells. On a USDC bonding curve, a chart going up means the memecoin went up. The flip side is that Arc is new: fewer traders, thinner liquidity and fewer tools than on Solana.

How big is memecoin trading on Arc?

Big from day one, though the counts differ. A Dune dashboard reported $410.8 million of Arc DEX volume on the first day, about 82% of it from launchpad tokens, and 97,025 tokens minted (BeInCrypto via Yahoo Finance, 17 Sept 2026). CoinDesk, using DefiLlama, put day-one volume nearer $82 million and called the launch a memecoin casino (CoinDesk, 17 Sept 2026). Both agree memecoins were the first thing traders did on Arc.

Which memecoin launchpads are on Arc?

The main Arc memecoin launchpads as of October 2026 are Argus, arky, Bullcheese, Minara and Tolly, and they split into two designs: bonding curves that graduate to a DEX pool, and direct launches into a locked Uniswap pool.

How do you find new memecoins on Arc?

You find new Arc memecoins by watching launches as they land, then filtering hard. On arky two screens do this:

Coins that launch straight into a Uniswap pool are also visible to general DEX screeners. Whatever tool you use, the next step is the safety checklist below.

How do you buy memecoins on Arc?

You buy memecoins on Arc with USDC: get USDC onto Arc, connect a wallet to a launchpad or terminal, and swap. In short:

  1. Bring USDC to Arc with Circle's CCTP, for example through arky's Deposit wizard (see bridge USDC to Arc).
  2. Open app.arky.bet and connect your wallet.
  3. Pick a coin on Discover or Pulse and check it.
  4. Set your slippage, buy on the curve and sign. The trade is final in under a second.

How do you launch a memecoin on Arc?

You launch a memecoin on Arc by filling in a name, ticker, image and story on a launchpad and signing one transaction paid in USDC. On arky the Create coin wizard does it in a few minutes, or Scout drafts the coin for you to sign. Read how to launch a memecoin on Arc, and what a memecoin launchpad should offer.

How do you avoid rug pulls and honeypots on Arc?

You cannot avoid them entirely, but a two-minute check filters out most of the worst coins. Run it before every buy:

  1. Liquidity. Is the coin still on a bonding curve, or in a pool? If in a pool, is the liquidity locked, by what, and until when? A time lock ends; a permanent lock does not.
  2. Contract permissions. Can anyone mint more supply, pause transfers, blacklist wallets or change taxes? Read the token on the Arc block explorer or the launchpad's published contracts.
  3. Honeypot test. A honeypot lets you buy but not sell. Check that other wallets have sold, and if unsure, buy a tiny amount and sell it back before sizing up.
  4. Holder concentration. If the top ten wallets hold a large share of supply, or the creator bought most of the early curve, they can dump on you.
  5. Real activity. Count unique buyers, not volume. A few wallets trading back and forth can fake a busy chart.
  6. Total cost. Add the pool fee, any buy and sell tax, and your slippage. A 10% sell tax on top of a 1% fee changes the maths.
  7. Size. Most memecoins lose most of their value. Only use money you can afford to lose.

On a bonding curve such as arky's, the reserve only pays sellers, so a creator cannot pull the curve's liquidity. Holders can still sell into it, so concentration still matters. More background in what is a memecoin.

What else can you trade on Arc with USDC?

The same USDC balance on arky also trades short-term price calls and majors. Bitcoin up or down rounds let you bet on BTC's direction over 5 or 15 minutes, settled in USDC on Arc. Crypto perps on Arc give leveraged longs and shorts on about 35 major coins (not memecoins), and the Arc trading terminal puts it all on one screen.

FAQ

Are there memecoins on Arc?

Yes. Memecoins arrived on Arc the day mainnet opened on 16 September 2026: a Dune dashboard counted 97,025 new tokens on the first day, most of them from launchpads such as Argus, arky, Bullcheese, Minara and Tolly.

What is the best memecoin launchpad on Arc?

It depends on what you want. As of October 2026 Argus leads on volume, Bullcheese publishes the highest creator share (75% of a 1% pool fee), and arky puts a bonding-curve launchpad inside a trading terminal with USDC prediction markets and Scout, an AI agent.

Do I need ETH to buy memecoins on Arc?

No. USDC is the native gas token on Arc, so one USDC balance pays for gas and for the memecoins you buy. You never need ETH or another gas token.

Where can I trade Arc memecoins?

On the launchpad where they were created, on Uniswap pools once they are live there, and from a trading terminal such as arky, which shows new and graduated Arc coins on its Discover and Pulse screens with quick buy.

Are memecoins on Arc safe?

No memecoin is safe. Arc removes some friction, such as volatile gas and slow confirmations, but not the risks: most memecoins lose value, and rug pulls and honeypots exist on every chain. Check liquidity, holders and contract permissions, and size small.

Can I trade Arc memecoins with leverage?

Not on arky. arky's perpetuals cover about 35 major cryptocurrencies such as BTC, ETH and SOL, never memecoins. Memecoins on arky are spot only: you buy and sell the token itself with USDC.
