How to launch a memecoin on Arc
To launch a memecoin on Arc, open arky, connect a wallet and deposit USDC, the only token you need since it pays Arc's gas. Then fill in Create coin (name, ticker, artwork, story) or ask Scout, arky's AI agent, to draft it, and sign. Your coin trades on a bonding curve until it graduates to Uniswap v4.
This guide walks through a real launch on arky, the trading terminal and memecoin launchpad on Arc. It takes a few minutes, and you only ever hold one token: USDC.
What you need
- A browser wallet that can connect to Arc. If yours does not list it yet, see how to add Arc to MetaMask.
- Some USDC. It pays the launch fee, Arc gas and any opening buy. The exact launch fee is shown in the Launch step before you sign.
- A name, a ticker, a square image (at least 64 by 64 pixels; 256 or more looks sharp) and a one-line story.
Step 1: Open arky and connect a wallet
Go to app.arky.bet and press Connect. arky supports several wallets per account, and first-time users get a short onboarding. Make sure the wallet is on Arc mainnet.
Step 2: Deposit USDC on Arc
Open the Deposit wizard. It moves USDC to Arc through Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP), step by step, from the chain where your USDC sits today. If you need the details, read how to bridge USDC to Arc.
Because Arc denominates every transaction fee in USDC (Arc docs), there is no gas token to buy first. On most other chains this is the step where new creators get stuck.
Step 3: Create the coin, or ask Scout
You have two ways in.
Option A: the Create coin wizard
| Step | What you fill in | What arky checks |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | Name and ticker, typed onto a live coin face | Name and symbol are valid |
| Artwork | Drag and drop an image; the preview is your file | Type, size and dimensions; non-square images get a one-click crop to square |
| Story | Description (up to 280 characters), website, X and Telegram links | Length and URLs |
| Launch | Optional opening buy, your creator fee | Shows tokens received, share of supply, launch fee and total to sign |
| Review | Nothing; you see your coin's real list row | The full draft |
The opening buy is optional. Buying at launch gets you the first tokens on the curve at the lowest price, which also signals that the creator has skin in the game. The wizard shows exactly how many tokens and what share of supply you receive before you sign.
Option B: ask Scout
Every arky user has Scout, an AI agent that answers from live arky data. Type something like "Launch a memecoin called Arc Frog, ticker FROG, about a frog that only pays gas in dollars" and Scout prepares the coin card for you to review. Scout never launches on its own: launching a coin always waits for your signature.
Step 4: Review and sign the launch
Press Launch and the window turns into a stage list: artwork saved, sign in your wallet, pending on Arc (with the transaction hash and an explorer link the moment your wallet returns it), then listed on arky. Arc settles in under a second, so the last two stages usually pass almost together.
Step 5: Share your coin
After the launch you get three buttons: Go to your coin, Share on X and Copy link. A memecoin lives on attention, so share it where your community already is. Traders on arky also see new coins in the pulse and discover desks.
Step 6: Graduation to Uniswap v4
Your coin trades on a bonding curve: each buy adds USDC to the curve's reserve and raises the price. When that reserve reaches the curve's graduation threshold, three things happen in the same transaction:
- Trading on the curve stops. A buy that would overshoot the threshold is filled up to it and the unused USDC is returned.
- The USDC reserve and remaining tokens seed a full-range Uniswap v4 pool.
- That liquidity is locked permanently: the contract has no code path that removes it.
From then on the coin trades on Uniswap v4, still from inside arky, and you keep earning a share of the pool's fees as the creator.
Tips before you launch
- Art matters. Use a square image at 256 pixels or more. Tiny or 1-by-1 images are refused.
- Fill in the links. Coins with a website, X and Telegram give traders a reason to trust them.
- Know the risks. Most memecoins never graduate. Only launch and buy what you can afford to lose.

FAQ
Can you launch a memecoin for free?
Not entirely. On arky you pay a small launch fee in USDC plus Arc gas, which is also paid in USDC and targeted at a fraction of a cent per transfer. The opening buy is optional, so the launch itself costs very little.
How long does it take to launch a memecoin on Arc?
A few minutes, most of it spent on the name, ticker and artwork. Arc settles transactions in under a second, so your coin is listed on arky almost as soon as you sign.
Do I need to know how to code to launch a memecoin?
No. The Create coin wizard on arky handles the token contract, the bonding curve and the listing. You only provide a name, ticker, image and description, or ask Scout to draft them.
What happens when my memecoin graduates?
When the bonding curve's USDC reserve reaches its graduation threshold, curve trading stops and the reserve seeds a Uniswap v4 pool with permanently locked liquidity. You keep earning a share of trading fees as the creator.
Is it illegal to launch a memecoin?
Launching a memecoin is not illegal in most places, but rules differ by country and misleading buyers can be. Do not promise returns, be honest about what the coin is, and check the rules where you live.
